She's A Little Bit Crafty!
We take a closer look at our CGI artist Paul Sutton.
By Sean De Carteret
"I consider myself a Hyper-realist artist. I love to paint. I use the word paint for lack of a better word. My medium is actually light. I have a passion for making things happen on paper and on the screen. Finding a new way of doing something and finding a new room in my imagination is what I love about the work."
Paul Sutton - Comic Artist, Designer, Photographer
This British multifaceted artist wears many different hats as an illustrator, designer, concept artist, photographer and founder of Why Not Company - with its digital art studio based in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, England where he produces high quality artwork images and prints.
Paul formally trained as a finished artwork designer until he took up a position working alongside his two older brothers in their motorsport picture agency, Sutton Motorsport Images. Here he developed his skills as a world travelled sports photographer, graphic designer and customer services manager.
After 20 years in the business Paul pursued a new challenge and medium with computer graphics. Having already previously mastered his skills in photoshop and photography he now ventured to bring CGI Comic Characters and Concepts Images to life in his own unique style.
Paul has since enjoyed having his work printed on promotional packaging, book covers and fine art prints. His work is regularly featured in magazines and online media around the world.
To date Paul Sutton’s online art gallery on deviantART has been viewed more than 6 million times and counting...
